Meet Rich Tomasini
Professionally, it all started in 1999 for Rich as an apprentice real estate agent serving the South Florida real estate market. After getting licensed and practicing appraising residential property, he moved to the Carolinas in 2005 and got licensed as a real estate broker with RE/MAX. Rich built and led the team Synergy Group to the top of the sales production list for the office and state, typically carrying 50-70 listings and covering the Lake Norman Region of NC.
The grind isn’t for the weary and after doing over 100 short sales in the downturn of 2007-2009, Rich started to realize that the value proposition he was bringing to his brokerage was disproportionate to the value he was receiving. Starting a boutique brokerage was appealing yet being the top technician, manager and owner felt like an uphill climb that would rob him of his personal life, which he coveted, while balancing being the sole provider for his family.
In 2017, Rich heard of a small virtual brokerage called eXp Realty with a couple thousand agents and learned a key new piece of information that transformed his professional trajectory. With the platform being built and the management and liability handled by the revolutionary model, he could do what he was best at; build and nurture relationships. Rich began to develop agents and kept a rapid pace out of the gate, building an organization at eXp that scaled to 16 countries and over 3000 agents. Closing over 25,000 transactions just in the US, Rich’s organization is larger than most brokerages and small franchises alike; the main difference is that he focuses on helping others achieve what he has since the opportunity is the same for everyone.
Rich currently works within a small circle of peak performers and offers supplemental training to his organization (and frankly to anyone seeking out growth, as he has a soft spot for people who chase their dreams). Being a father and husband is still his greatest joy and calling.
